3G is great! Depending on phone or USB data card’s modem capacity, the 3G speeds are simply mind blowing. Your phone’s software is updated at the blink of an eye, you download songs or watch Youtube videos seamlessly. But, are you sure you’re getting the best of 3G from your current 3G service provider?
I am writing this specifically for the users in Kolkata circle and Rest of Bengal. Have you tried to find out which mobile operators possess the infrastructure and which operators hire services of other 3G providers? Take a look at this screenshot below:
As you can clearly see from the marked area, Airtel 3G in Kolkata is simply Vodafone 3G! How many of you have actually noticed this or tried to know this fact? Bharti Airtel is a major player in telecom market, nobody expects they’ll use services of Vodafone Essar to provide 3G. But it is what you are seeing. Its mentioned in Airtel’s website.
So, why not use Vodafone 3G? Because, the quality of service and speeds obtained via another operator will not be same as original first hand operator’s quality and speeds.
Since I mentioned Vodafone 3G, doesn’t mean I am suggesting to use that; Reliance Communications also has 3G infrastructure and services are superb, specially if used with 21.6 mbps data card / dongle.
In all circumstances, it is best to use services from an operator who provides first hand services and not hired from another operator.
